The J.K. Rowling Bomb

Watching everyone’s jaw drop in the office at the news of J.K. Rowling coming to Hachette? Pretty much the highlight of my day.

But seriously- it took a couple moments for it to sink in and for me to remember to breathe. Little, Brown is now the home of Rowling’s new book after Harry Potter. Is this real life? Um, yes it is. That’s right, J.K. Rowling is publishing a new adult book with our company. I would have been ecstatic to hear that she was publishing a new book- let alone with us. So please give me a moment to do a happy dance while shouting ‘Bloody Brilliant at the top of my lungs Ron Weasley style!

All the websites listed above convey the same information, but naturally I read all of them JUST IN CASE there were any extra details.

Still in shock, but I have one thing to say: This is pretty much one of the best days ever of working at Hachette Book Group. I am so grateful to be here.

Mischief Managed!

So, J. K. Rowling will publish a new book? I’m so into it this time, thank god it’s not going to be like Harry Potter’s o.o…
